Art Painting Level 3

Course Description

Teacher in Charge: Mr P. Manu

The course at this level presupposes that the Level 2 course has been completed satisfactorily by students. However, in some special cases, we will take students who have not taken art since junior level. In this course, students will study a number of artist models and will be introduced to the artistic philosophies and ideas relevant to the areas of study. A strong emphasis will be placed on the development of drawing skills and approaches to painting and printmaking. Students will produce bodies of work within Print Making or Painting to show understanding of art-making methods and ideas with a real-world context linking to artists with professional practice.

Standards are chosen according to the area of specialisation: Print Making or Painting

Where a student wishes to take TWO of the above Level 2 Visual Art subjects, they need permission from Mr. Manu.
