Course Description

Geography is the study of how people and places. It seeks to interpret the world and how it changes over time – past, present, and future.
Level 2 Geography builds onto the concepts we explore at Level 1. There is a focus on social and natural Geography through case studies in Aotearoa New Zealand. Topics in the past have included:
- The Natural Landscape of the Tongariro Volcanic Centre
- The globalisation and evolution of Hip Hop music
- The Ethnoscape (ethnic landscape) of Auckland City
- Applying Geographic Skills to various contexts.

Recommended Prior Learning
Entry to this course is open, however, an interest in natural and cultural geography would be beneficial.
