Visual Art Level 2
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr P. Manu.
The course at this level presupposes that the Level 1 course has been completed satisfactorily by students. However, in some special cases, we will take some students who have not taken art since Junior school. Students will study a number of artistic models and will be introduced to the artistic philosophies and ideas relevant to the areas of study. A strong emphasis will be placed on the development of drawing skills and approaches to painting and/or printmaking. Students will produce bodies of work within Print Making or Painting to show an understanding of art-making methods and ideas with a real-world context linking to artists with professional practice.
Standards are chosen according to the area of specialisation: Print Making or Painting
Where a student wishes to take TWO of the above Level 2 Visual Art subjects, they need the permission from Mr. Manu.
Check out more of the students' work on our Art Instagram page @Listoncollegeart
