This academic course is predominantly algebra based but will also include calculus, graphs, trigonometry, simultaneous equations and coordinate geometry. This course is required to prepare students for the academic Mathematics with Calculus course at Level 3.

Mathematics with Calculus Level 3

Mathematics with Calculus is an Option subject at Level 2. If a student struggles with Mathematics in Level 1 especally in Algebra and Graphs, he is advised not to opt for a Level 2 Mathematics Calculus course.

This academic course is predominantly algebra based but will also include calculus and graphs as well as some statistics and probability. This course is required to prepare students for the academic Mathematics with Calculus course at Level 3.

Achievement of a minimum 15 credits Mathematics Achievement Standards including

a Merit or better in AS1·1(Number) and AS1.2(Algebra) is strongly recommended.
