This is a Unit Standards based course with a focus on Mechanical Engineering. Students will develop a broad range of knowledge and skills in engineering related outcomes. This will be achieved through students;
•exploring materials in relation to technological products
•developing knowledge and skills in working safely with a range of materials, tools and processes
•planning for practice
•developing and evaluating outcomes to ensure fitness for purpose

Recommended Prior Learning
Open Entry, although study at Year 9, 10 and 11 in Technology is strongly recommended. Students without prior learning in Technology must discuss course intentions with the Head of Department.
