Teacher in Charge: Mr P. Nyberg
Students will learn practical skills, use resources, produce practical solutions and products and present work in portfolios. The course will be based around project development, working from design to the production of finished product. The focus will be on working in wood and metal and will also include the developing drawing skills required to communicate design ideas and produce products. Students will also gain experience with modern manufacturing techniques and the use of computer aided design (CAD) and computer aided manufacture (CAM) to produce technological projects. (Students may be required to work independently).

Students wishing to study this subject must obtain the permission of the Head of Department. It is recommended that students have achieved a minimum of 15 credits at Level 2 Technology.
Students may have to study this programme on a semi–independent basis.

Externally Assessed Credits: 12 credits.
Internally Assessed Credits: 26 credits.
